And it's a doozy! Six on the shortlist. Two bints I've never heard of, some Taff, the AWF, punch happy cricketer Ben Stokes and.....wait for it <drumroll> St. Raheem of Wilmslow.
No guesses who Mr White, the woke soak of TS and his merry band of gigglers will be rooting for then.

Re: Sports "personality" shortlist
Dina Asher-Smith by a country mile. All joking apart, 'not this shit again'. Let's not get into a heated debated about the virtues of this BBC ratings rape-victim of a programme. We all know it's utter bollocks. An excuse for all the BBC cunts to doll themselves up and ponce about. It's a PR exercise. That's fine. Similar to the OSCARS. I really do not begrudge talented athletes letting their hair down and enjoying their achievements. It's a bit of fun. But fuck me do the BBC wring this shit dry. The nail was finally hammered into this coffin of a programme when Andy Murray won. A man so devoid of personality even black-holes question their purpose in the universe.
“Ordinary men hate solitude. But the Master makes use of it, embracing his aloneness, realizing he is one with the whole universe.” ~ Lao Tzu.

Poor you two not having heard of nor seen the delightful KJT.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

Will David Attenborough be narrating the moment both of you emerge from the rock after several years' slumber?

Re: Sports "personality" shortlist
I've no interest in athletics and never have. No interest in women's sports at all. No interest in most men's sports, come to that. I'd no more know them than you (or I) would the top snooker player in my town or I know the best county level swimmer in your area. Their names aren't going to ever ping on my radar. I also didn't know who the ruggerby player was for the same reason.
Why is that so hard to believe?

Some would suggest you are saying it for effect. Not me of course......
It’s a list where the majority, well bar two, have heard of everyone. The two athletes will take votes off each. Stokes clear winner.

Re: Sports "personality" shortlist
Genuinely, I'd only heard of three of the six, Sterling, AWF and Stokes.
But its the same most years.
The last time I could even name a winner was decades ago. Though due to not watching it or taking any interest in the competition rather than know the fame of who it was.....no I tell a lie, didn't Wiggins and some other bicyclists win it for a while recently? I remember that from the fuss here.

Re: Sports "personality" shortlist
No idea what Alun Wyn Jones is doing on that list.
They won the Grand Slam, fair enough, but they lost in the semis of the World Cup - how the fuck does that make him a contender for an award like this? Mental. As daft as when Giggs won it, turning the comp into a long-service award
