:( :( :(

Most important thing is you make a full recovery, Vespa.

You are still young - you have plenty of time to make up for cancelled plans.

Hope you are doing ok? Well, as ok as you can be given the treatment.
I wouldn't be able to see the people and do the things I wanted anyway, so next year it'll be easier and more fun.
Take care, Vespa.

About to start what I hope is the last round of chemo, got a scan next week so they can look at the tumour - based on that I'll get a date for my big op.

All the best sir - I'm sure all will be fine and dandy in due course.

Thanks, I was a little worried that my hemicolectomy would be delayed by the consultant told me last week that it'll be fine.

Thanks mate.

I had my (hopefully) last treatment of this horrible drug called oxaliplatin which is frankly fucking horrible stuff that makes your hands and feet numb, you sick fo ten days, tired etc but it's top-notch at killing cancer.

Got a consult in three weeks when this round ends and they'll tell me when they are going to cut 30cm of my bowel and a nice slice of a muscle with it.

Actually looking forward to it.

bloody hell

brings ones own issues into perspective

horrible situation but with modern medical skills and a whole load of determination, it would be bloody fantastic to defeat this monster and come out smiling on the other side for many more years to come

stay strong, my old adversary....and thanks for the updates, it's inspiring

When you meet people who have cancer of the face and will need a new jaw I realise in the pantheon of cancers I'm quite lucky.
