Kevin O'Sullivan

Post by lambrini »

Has anyone listened to O'Sullivan's solo radio show? He seems a bit bland and, like some other talkRADIO presenters, is riding on the 'anti-woke' bandwagon.

He also co-hosts the Dogma podcast with Mike Graham and will be joining him on the Thought Police podcast. Yawn.

to be fair, there is no such thing as "anti woke"

Its just called "normal"

True. Unfortunately, people put themselves in both apple-carts. You're either anti-woke or woke.   Where did the "woke" stem from? 4Chan?

It is quite remarkable how memes and Internet language filters through to everyday use. "OK, boomer" and "Karen" are good examples.

Used to quite enjoy his old TV column in the Sunday Mirror.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

I didn't mind his TV reviews/columns or the odd guest spot he did on the TS/LBC even?!

I've not heard his solo show. He seems alright, although he's no Ally Ross for funny and great TV observations.

Matthew Wright seems very liberal, KOS seems to go with the flow. In the real world (but are we still living in that?) people with different political leanings should still be pals, but wonder if they all still are. MG used to say they were, but I always got the impression that Wright didn't like him (Iron Mike)?

O'Sullivan has gone from going along with Wright to Graham.

Interestingly, Matthew Wright, who once had a prime-time show on Channel 5 (guest stars included Jordan Peterson!) as well as his own talkRADIO show, has suddenly gone off the radar.
To be fair, O'Sullivan did a good job justifying why the Brexit result was democratic; Wright, however, argued otherwise.

Really been enjoying his shows recently. Unpolished and just says what he thinks, which is a refreshing change from some shows -whether I agree with his views or otherwise. He also properly tells Ash when to shut up! 👍

I don’t listen to his show but caught a couple of Mike Graham’s “Thought Police” podcast today and he comes across as a thoroughly sinister character. Maybe he’s trying too hard to play a part but my word, he sounds like a right fucking cunt.

I don't mind O'Sullivan as an easy listen but he seems very pally with Graham and as someone here said recently, listening to those two together is like listening to The Self Righteous Brothers from Harry Enfield.

The brothers are pair of middle-aged opinionated men who spend their time sitting in a pub, discussing celebrities they admire (always referred to by just their surnames), and then becoming angry when contemplating said celebrities doing something selfish and extremely unlikely.
