Afro Day

Post by Monello »

Today's is World Afro Day. A day to celebrate the beauty and versatility of Afro hair, as well as raise awareness about hair discrimination and inequality.

Apparently for Black people, hair is political and carries a weight of historical meaning.

How's about changing it to Chip on the Shoulder Day, or to even things up, let's have a Mullet Day or a Short Back and Sides Day.

I'm sure you can start mullet day if you want.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

Why does it bother you so much?
You could just choose to ignore it.

I'm just wondering why we need to celebrate one type of hair. We have a Bald and Free day for the poor saps who haven't got any hair, or shave it all off because they are embarrassed with the few strands they have, so why not open it up.

Agree, people should be left alone to enjoy their culture and history.

If only certain factions would allow that to happen.
