He looks sadly a lot worse from the last time I saw him a few months ago. Very bloated from the chest up. Always liked Whale - never a leading light on anything but confident and believed in himself. The late night TV show from Leeds back when I was a teenager was genuinely groundbreaking.

No doubt he's a bit of a caricature of himself these days, but at his pomp, I found him funny and entertaining. He could turn from zero to 100 too within 60 seconds if it was an issue he was passionate about too.
