It took me a few weeks but I am at last getting into the new incarnation of Neighbours on Prime.

In the last episode on Channel 5, our good frienf Toady got married to Melanie Pearson (80s and 90s veterans will remember her by her guffawing laugh).

That she is old enough to be his mum seemed neither here nor there.

And Paul Robinson had made up with his estranged seventh ( or is it eighth) wee wife Therése.

The opening episode showed the whole of Ramsay Street preparing to celebrate a wedding.

Or at the least a renewal of vows between Paul and Therése.

Divil the bit.

In the last scene Therése walked up the isle to wed….Mr. Toadfish Rebecci esq.

Where was Melanie?

Why was Paul in the congregation, wearing a wedding suit.

That was some shocker.

Melanie we subsequently learn just saddled up and left Ramsay Street.

We still don’t know why Paul and Therése broke up again.

But there is trouble at t’ mill.

Toadie’s daughter, called Nelliefish in the finest tradition of piscine nomenclature in clan Rebecci and whom has aged about ten years in the show’s 18 month histus, is pining for her previous stepmum Melanie as is making life unbearable for poor old Therése

I was down t’Algarve the month of September so I was a few weeks behind when I started watching, Zam.

As I said in another post, I found it a bit strange at first and as I am now really into Home and Away I wondered if I was going to bother watching it.

The Toadie/Therése wedding was bonkers and Harold is uber annoying, as is that awful, nosey busybody Wendy.

But I forced myself to persevere and I am glad now because I am getting into it
