Currently only temporary as cover part of this week on the late afternoon show but hopefully soon full-time on the station. :)

I listened to the whole three hours yesterday.

Maybe nostalgia, but I liked it, and Whale is sorely missed from the airwaves. 10-1pm is still his best time though. I haven't really listened to talkRADIO much, but hopefully they'll find a place in their schedule for Whale. Even had the classic topic of dogs brought up! ;)

Do talkRADIO do podcasts? I am working the next few days - believe he's on until Thursday. And hopefully get a chance to listen.

Yeah talkradio.co.uk has a listen again feature just like talksport. Find the show in the schedule, click listen again, then you have to click each half hour to start it playing, then rightclick the video window and select save as to save the mp3. I just listened to the bits I missed from yesterday.
I really am a biatch

I was never a huge fan of Whale but compared to the utter piss on at 10pm these days, he is very much missed from TS. Thank goodness Iain Lee is an excellent listen.

Cheers, LaaLaa.

I'll do that. Was hoping they might have a podcast to avoid the ads etc, but that'll do nicely ;)

Thanks for your help.

Good to hear Whale back but the bit I heard he spent half an hour talking about himself concerning the time he was on Big Brother and he seemed to think that everyone knew he was on Big Brother. All rather boring actually.
You're telling me...You're in the groove jackson....This is murder ( as spoken by The Wiere Brothers in the film Road to Rio starring Bob Hope and Bing Crosby ).

I had to give up on Iain Lee. I appreciate that he is honest about his struggle with depression but some of the shows made for uncomfortable listening, especially when he'd decide he couldn't be bothered actually hosting and just lets the weirdos come straight to air and talk to each other

TalkRadio has mostly passed me by because I can't get it on my internet radio in the kitchen or through my sky planner. I can get it through Tunein but I'd rarely think to use that when I'm at home. Lineup seems quite poor anyway but might listen to Whale if he gets a better time slot

Lee's show reminds me a lot of Tommy Boyd and Danny Baker. I have never really listened to him previously, nor watched his TV stuff, but I like it a lot. I like his honesty too.

The rest of TalkRadio is terrible though, apart from the UFO stuff on Sunday nights, but that clashes with Danny Kelly's Euro football show.

I've heard people say Jon Holmes in the afternoon is good but to me he's reminiscent of a toned down Russell Brand, ie, tiresome quite quickly.

Brothers Gould is the most boring show I've ever heard.

Paul Ross is too weird to actually try to listen to.

Haven't heard that posh woman.

Sam Delaney is average at best.

Never listened at weekends.

And there you have it.

Whale is on with Ash, or was as it's coming up to 10pm, but I believe he's on tomorrow as well from 7-10.

Edit - in the scheudle he was on yesterday and Tues. Might listen again and see if it's back to the glory days of 2006 - ranting at cyclists, Ken Livingston, green bins, cars, and dogs being better than humans. Although he seems to have gone full-circle thankfully on UKIP and thinks they are rubbish.

He's on again next week on the 10-1 slot (Hartley-Brewer)- I think 2/3 days and as the King himself said ''I won't be talking as much nonsense as she regularly does" :)

He's the only thing I listen to on talkRADIO and hopefully the listening figures show this, so he eventually gets a gig there or something on talkSPORT.

Been listening to the few shows of Whale this week - he did 10-1 on Wed, Thu and 6-10 on Fri.

He's still got it and really should get a gig full-time preferably a late night slot. And he did one with Ash a week back or so which was quite good. Don't know if it's nostaliga or pretty much the rest of this station is so shít that Whale stands out like a broadcasting KING on here.
