Sure I’ve seen that before.

Just watching the highlights and I’m sure I heard Saggers during that Japan game

They changed the ball in and out if play criteria a couple of seasons back. Here is an example. Players taking corners had to ensure the bottom of the ball was touching the line around the corner flag. Now they don't have to do that. As long as the curvature of the ball is level with the quadrant line it doesn't have to be touching.kancutlawns wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 9:07 pm That looked like it went out. Bent FIFA authorities, who would have thunk it.
Same principle for leading up to the Japan goal, the curvature if the ball had not passed beyond the goal line.

It’s a shame the coverage has finished. I wanted to see the VAR official squirming.

It would be nice if they showed us one of those mocked up pictures. Like those fancy ones we get for offside. They’re only making it worse for themselves by delaying it.Zambo wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 9:28 pmThey changed the ball in and out if play criteria a couple of seasons back. Here is an example. I can never understand why those few extra mms are so needed especially if the player can't even get it over the first defender.Zambo wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 9:28 pmThey changed the ball in and out if play criteria a couple of seasons back. It was nice today to see someone take a corner with the ball on the line.

Err, player of the match, Jonathan. Just in case one of the players in the men's world cup might not identify as a man.
