Much was made about the lack of apology by the outgoing MET chief ,Hogan-Howe towards Leon Brittan and a couple of other high profilers on the peado list.

The papers made this out to be a disgusting act of ignorance from BHH but I've always half presumed he wasn't going to apologise over something that certainly have plenty of smoke but not enough fire to make a case of in court, probably due to the influence other powerful individuals have in thwarting such a case.
