I wonder which club will be the first to have the class to say that they won't furlough non-playing staff.

According to reports Utd are due to announce that they won't be furloughing non-playing staff.

Can't imagine what's prompted them to do that.

Liverpool doing the opposite. Citeh don't even come into it, you'll no doubt be glad to hear.

Can't hear any grumbling from the Sons/Spirit of Shankly but I guess a few of them won't agree with what their club have done.

They apparently announced over a week ago that all non-playing staff would not be losing any money. But that was before furloughing had been invented.

Open letter is one thing. Only Carragher has been public in his criticism.

The article below sums it up well about how out of character it is for the club and that even if they changed tack, the damage would already have been done.

City make their position clear on Sunday, other lesser clubs follow-suit on Monday.

Spurs U-Turn on furlough decision.

4,000 fans may be allowed back in grounds from next week presumably with endless hand washes, masks, sitting ten feet from anyone else and not being with your mates. But of a shit idea. Watch COVID cases sky rocket when dickheads in society see this as a sign that things are back to normal.
