I like Dotun. I know he has critics in here, buy he's a perfect over night presenter. His chilled, affable, relaxed manner is just what the doc ordered for night listening.

Although his 'The Nightwatchman' moniker sounds a bit suspect, like it would be the name for a potentially prolific rapist that terrorised some area.

A prerequisite for an overnight DJ you might say but Carlos and I miss the dulcet tones of Rhod, his axing was cruel. Doton starts to slur like a sherried drunk towards the end of the week as fatigue probably sets in, Rhod broadcast from the U.S for years where he was always pin sharp despite his years.

Agreed - Dotun seems a good egg. He just can't quite match up to Good Ol' Rhod who is one of the greats.

Listening to the 5Dead phone in about last night's reality TV final and some stupid cunt's in the studio wetting his pants saying he got a job in TV because he likes analysing Love Island. Workshy wanker, get a proper job.

WFPI last night was a good listen.

I ken he's got his detractors in this bailwick etc, but Dotun is a top man. He sings, he is a bit of a bam at times (ain't we all) but he's a genuine person. If you listen to him with people, especially people who sound vulnerable or not the most eloquent, he listens, and you can tell he's a good egg. Might not be the best broadcaster out there, but I always enjoy listening to the WFPI and he's a huge part of it too. That hearty chortle is infectious as feck too.

A WFPI listener who called up reguarly had died at the week. Cleo the Arsenal/Aldershot fan, and if you listen to the show, she was on very reguarly. A well done show last night, and a fitting tribute.

Also, Maher is back! Him and Gleeson are the best of the rotated pundits, IMO.

Was going to post about this, Kevin. Woke up about 2.30am and MCat was annoying and remembered WFPI was now on Tuesday mornings so clicked over. Was enjoyable and said news about Cleo the Book, although she was knowledgable, Dotun did seem to indulge her a lot and The Gent because he was a Charlton fan.

But there's a but. At 3.15am they had all the guests on and two callers, the chap from Ar-Kansas who had been on for ages and Vickery had to remind Dotun he hadn't asked his question and the London cop chap. Basically they talked over each other at tangents and laffing away for way too long. Asked the Ar-Kansas chap after if he enjoyed it and said he understood one word every sentence. That bit was shit and typical Dotun.

However, some praise for 5Live. Listened last night to Kelly Cates' special report on Qatar. Was excellent and some fascinating contributors about migrant working, homosexuality there and for fans visiting. Definitely worth a listen again.

Fucking hell, if you're feeling a bit down this morning, don't turn onto Your Call on 5Dead. People ringing in about how worried they are about the rising energy prices, cost of living and how they're trying to keep warm and feed themselves and their families. Campbell's asking how much debt they're in and the poor fuckers are at the end of their tether. Some woman's on offering debt advice and callers don't want to be told to go to Citizen's Advice.

This really is horrible. Campbell, talk about Reality TV or the football instead FFS.
