Jock. Here's my review from page 7: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=13688&start=90#p1015146
Carlos J wrote:[...]Yay. They have the 'Magnus' documentary on the in-flight movies of my plane. :)
Carlos J wrote:And what a documentary it was. As per the 'hollywoodnews' review above, their reviewer knows nothing about chess and loved it. I do and loved it.

Utterly fascinating human portrayal of the boy who became the man who is best ranked ever. I've mocked Carlsen before about his modelling, his sisters do in this, but seeing the real boy and man makes me warm to him.

Starts with amazing footage of Carlsen waiting for Anand for the start of game in Chennai behind glass and hundreds of photographers and Carlsen head bowed before it starts, a man alone and lost.

As per, much home footage and dad saying about young Magnus being in his own world accompanied by a hilarious clip of dad setting up a little jump over a pole for Magnus and sister. Sister jumps and Magnus runs straight through it.

Then, more on Iceland and the game v Kasparov where the boy lost turns and looks to his parents and family who give him the thumbs up and he carries on. The young boy looking lost as the man in Chennai later.

The whole Chennai championship looks typical Indian mentalism with Carlsen landing, getting the full welcome looking like he wants to fuck back on the plane to Norway. We know the result of the match but more lovely scenes right to the end.

During an interview to the director, this incredible piece of dialogue. RM, as to the crossover with arrars, could see MvG like this to a lesser extent:
Interviewer: "How often will you say that you think about chess?"

Carlsen: "It's hard to say. Sometimes it feels like all the time, sometimes I get a bit of a break. But it's always, it's almost always in the back of my mind."

Interviewer: "Do you think about chess now?"

Carlsen: "Yes."

Interviewer: "What do you think about?"

Carlsen: "It's different fragments of games. My mind is just analysing stuff in the background."
Have to give it a Carlos 9/10. A must see.

A lot iffy on picture quality but you get the gist:

Yeah, I'm there tomorrow, Jock. Leaving for that London in the morning. 3pm is nice kick off time as don't have to leave at stupid o'clock to get there. Will report back, maybe live and some snaps.

Getting excited for this afternoon as well. I'm off so gonna watch as well, now settled in my chair for the afternoon. Might give the Svidler one ago but also paid the 20 bucks for the live coverage so see what that's like as well, will flick around and be here as well.

Enjoy and are you getting to one?

Will def get some snaps, Jock. This is the official site now, as said $20 for all games ain't bad. Looks like when it starts you can flip board and live footage, might turn comments off, a few are moaning when it will start already. :) Bet there's lag issues though:

One camera is working on the official site, yay. Judit Polgar and Anna Rudolf commentating, nice.

$20 bucks isn't bad for the number of games and it is actually working. There's not 21 cameras, there's 19 and 20 not working and 21 which is:
