Re: Jeremy Corbyn
It would be good to have an opposition that was a actually a TRUE opposition (ie. actually represented something different). To that end it would be interesting to see Corbyn get in. Unfortunately though it would also render Labour unelectable as in the Michael Foot years. Shame really but there you go.
Still invisible after all these years...

They'll shout that he's un-electable? What and Cooper, Kendall, and Burnham are PM material?

Corbyn will liven the place up at first but will then morph into Michael Foot and cause carnage

Labour members/supporters are convinced Corbymania is sweeping the nation. This is their Iain Duncan Smith moment. If Corbyn leads them into the next election a 12 seat Tory majority will turn into a 120 seat majority.

Re: Jeremy Corbyn
At least Corbyn stands on principle and he's more what you see is what you get than any of the others.
There's a certain appeal about taking British utilities back into British ownership as well as the railways which may appeal to many more people on the traditional right too given the way these impossible to fail businesses are used to milk the last drop of profit out of people. Then again a quick reminder of how quickly hard left union barons will have them all out on strike in sympathy with one another so we've no water, have power cuts, no transport or the price goes through the roof due to constant wage demands brings me back to earth again.
Don't be fooled by it. And you'll be more fooled by the centre ground politicians than you will by Corbyn. Social engineering, modern Labour's one and only policy, will continue unabated, if not at an accelerated pace under all of them. It's still going to be class war and even more mass immigration. To my mind, although the Tory record on migrants is inexcusable, they insist on a better class of migrant than Labour who couldn't pack the streets with any more vagrant beggars if they tried in their stated claim to continually piss the right off with immigrants of the lowest order.
Corbyn would be a disaster for Britain even though in principle I like a lot of what he says. The road to hell is paved with good intention.
Even if there was a way to curb unions from ruining what many people like as an idea, the most damage will always be done to our social structure in their quest for equality which is totally unachievable since it purely relies on the subject being motivated enough to make a difference to his own life rather than have some politician bleat on about it , and frankly Labour does not create a mindset other than permanent victimhood.

I agree with this entirely.Roy Twing wrote:It would be refreshing to see a conviction politician at the head of the labour party to widen that fag paper difference that currently separates the current hobson's choice.
The new labour arseholes stating that his lead is down to tory activists joining is both arrogant and patronising.
The fact of the matter is, that those shits in labour don't represent the people they're supposed to, they haven't got a fucking clue who they are or how they live. They also don't know that people in this dislike bullying, and it looks like he is being bullied, with the likes of Campbell saying vote for anyone but Corbyn and even calls to ditch the whole election process altogether because he's winning, and the big wigs of the labour party ganing up on him. Burnham looks like a polished turd (has anyone ever seen his fucking hair move?) and Corbyn looks like a nice old geezer who rides the bus and is being ganged up on
It smacks of skullduggery and plain old cheating - people who do that are cunts.
And people don't like cunts.
I hope it backfires massively on the arseholes and Corbyn wins by a landslide.

It's funny isn't it that 3 of the most "right wing" posters on this board all want to see Corbyn do well and all for the same reason, they admire a man of conviction and think that it is important for democracy that Britain has a real choice in who they want to vote for and which way the country should go.
Yet the left leaning people are terrified that he'll become leader because it means their side won't win.

Terrified is strong word, but I think he's got zero chance of winning the 2020 GE & every chance of taking Labour backwards from where they are now. Might explain why the right wingers like the idea of him winning.colinthewarriormonkey wrote:It's funny isn't it that 3 of the most "right wing" posters on this board all want to see Corbyn do well and all for the same reason, they admire a man of conviction and think that it is important for democracy that Britain has a real choice in who they want to vote for and which way the country should go.

As I've previously stated, - I voted labour until it gave up its principles in order to simply be able to win an election.
I despise the labour party for this (amongst other reasons).
Corbyn would return the party to its natural values.
