I did 45 degrees once in the US, I could have died.

In a coach in Death Valley at 48 outside. We did step off it for about 30 secs in which time we were drenched although humidity was low. They stopped sending coaches in after one broke down, and the passengers were roasted.

I booked a round of golf today a couple of weeks and couldn’t cancel so had to play in this heat. Fortunately the cloud came over the front nine. Played quite well considering

Just been getting hotter every day here, despite the forecast saying it was gradually going to get cooler. Been out for most of the day, came back half hour ago to a house hotter than a sauna.

Yep. How people function without air conditioning is beyond me. My office didn't have air conditioning last year, so during the hottest days all employees were given the option of taking a couple of days off.
