In 2004 LFC were looking for a manager, and approached Mourinho who was in the throes of getting Porto to the CL final.
He was keen, but said he must wait until after the final (fair enough).
LFC didn't wait and got Benitez and Mourinho went to Chelsea
Benitez promptly beat Chelsea in the CL semis and went on to win it in Istanbul.
Leaving Mourinho fuming..it should have been him!
Although he has had success at other clubs since, what he has not done is to build a dynasty which is what Shankly/Paisley and Ferguson did.
There are only two jobs at that level- LFC and MU. By the time he got to United the link had been broken via Moyes and Van Gaal, and he sees Klopp doing the regeneration at LFC.
So despite all the money he is one unhappy man.

Plus, he's a fucking cunt.

Right and wrong

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footb ... ation.html

Ianni is correctly charged for an act which could have caused serious trouble between the two coaching teams and players.

However, Mourhino's reaction could have done exactly the same. If that had happened during play between two players, both would have been subject of misconduct punishments. Mourhino further wound the crowd up, which also could have resulted in ugly scenes. Looks like the FA have bottled this, because they don't want any more accusations of them picking on the poor disrespected special one.

Are you another one of these Chelsea fans who seen to think Mourinho always gets a warm welcome when he goes back to SB?

Nothing happened till the 96th minute. Once it kicked off and then he walked to applaud the United fans what did you expect.

Even the”hoorays” at your place would of frowned a bit

All the players Jose bought for huge transfer fees never had a chance against Juve and they were always only battling for second in the group.

This from a manager who demands 'respect'.

He'll have to change the way he manages or he'll have to walk away with a £10 million payoff in May 2021.

That's optimistic. He'll gone by October.
