I am a generally tolerant person but I absolutely refuse to watch any TV programme if any of these are in it;
Sue Perkins,
Phil Jupitus,
David Baddiel,
Michael McIntyre,
Lenny Henry,
The shouty greengrocer.

Phil Jupitus being the standout waste-of-space so far, but early days. Most of the others bar Corden and Alan Carr I can just about stomach.
Any 'right on' luvvie for me as most are multi millionaires. Maybe add refuse to listen too so I can include Geldof, Bono, Benedict Cunterbatch and all like them

Did watch him on Time Commanders this week. The Everton Liverpool was so shite. As for the greencrocer, he was acting quite the bossy/shouty little twat.carcinogen wrote:VeritasVincit wrote:The shouty greengrocer.

Re: I refuse to watch…
Any cliched regional UK shite.
Northern England - he/she will be a gritty Northerner who doesn't suffer fools, doesn't talk about his feelings, a right hard bastard, most likely a dick but somehow in the space of 90 minutes/3 special episodes or whatever : gets the girl, fixes his way, and becomes the best ever. I love how they try to paint up northern English people as someone being different from the rest of England, or the UK (possibly even Ireland, gabh mo leisguel, a' Dheise) for that matter.
'The best British film of the year' - some of them are alright and maybe I'm moaning for the sake of it; but often it'll be Hugh Grant, Colin Firth etc acting like the lovable- to some I assume - 'excuse me, sir; where could one find some good tea?' rogue. People obviously like this as they are made year after year. There are many good British films, and even of this type too e.g Song for Marion with Terence Stamp was pretty good, and Stamp was excellent, yet it didn't seem to have any promotion.
Scottish sitcoms - I'd like to say British again as I mean the whole lot of the UK as we have not produced a decent mainstream comedy program for a long, long time. Scottish comedies are especially bad! Chewing The Fat is alright, and whilst we have some funny people, the cunts at BBC North Brit will refuse to fund anything that offers anything different - Limmy being the one exception, and even with him, you've got 18 mins of shite in betwen the 12 mins of gold - but We've got Scots Squad which is about the police in Scotland, it's just the cringe x100. The strange thing is us freedom4scotia types tend to despise all this Jockanory/wha's like us shite, and it's the 'proud' Scots who lap all the shortbread stuff up. I still find it amazing that 'Not Going Out' has about 8 series, if not more - it's like an awful version of Friends - even has the same skyscraper cuts through it, and whilst Friends was never nothing more than alright, the skyscrapper shots of London are just like the poor man's version of New York much like the program itself.
Can't watch anything with -
Neil Oliver - speak proper, you knob. Another 'proud' one.
Jennifer Lawrence - don't get the hype. Seems a bit of a gobshite too.
Keith Lemon - BoSelecta was good when I was 16, but we all need to grow up.
Michael McIntyre - Yer ma loves him she does, doesn't she.
Matt Dawson - I doubt he's in much, and I've seen about 5 mins of modern QOS, but I just wish I could block it somehow from my TV rather than seeing the .5 of a second of him if I catch any moment of it.
James Corden - strangely enough I didn't mind him until Carpool Karaoke, and being subjected to it through YouTube or folk roaning about muscians singing their own songs was brilliant/funny.

Everyone mentioned so far, plus that toksvig bloke, and any 'expert' under 30.
Anyone (such as Tick) that uses 'gammon' as a racial pejorative is as much a racist as those who use the word nigger and similar pejoratively.

Anything set in Northern Ireland.
Eastenders.
Holby and Casualty, in fact anything medical is a no go area for me, I find the whole subject, whether 'factual' or fictional, all extremely tedious. The only exception being The Green Wing.
