In the 70's and 80's you had punks, skins, mods, rockers, rastas, New romantics, Breakers, goths all doing their own thing, listening to there unique music; now we have Louis fucking Walsh and pretty much every cunt dresses the same.

The 70s gave us Geldof and Sting, the latter who was pretty good in those days. None of his tantric sex and banjo.

There was some OK music produced in the Eighties. (And when I say some, I mean a small amount.)

But most of it was by people who had already released records in the 1970s, and the remainder was by people who didn't sound Eighties.

There were also some people who didn't sound Eighties but just produced derivative retro shite.

Unfortunately baso and Reg have embraced the prevalent media impression of what the 80s was. That is mainly because they were probably in their 30s at that time. The 80s was an incredible time for rap, techno, soul, indie and rock. A time before corporates squeezed the soul out of music.

Possibly the best era in music.
