Friday Night Lights is another good one. I would never have thought to watch it because not a fan of American football but it's excellent.

Can't recommend it enough.

Honestly, just brilliant TV and excellent acting!

Just seen the trailer - that looks great.

It's slow but sublime.

3 shows in and really enjoying it.

Good to hear.

I won't ruin it, so shall say no more ; but the character progression is amazing in all of them.

Stuff I've watch so far and enjoyed

Walking Dead
Goliath
Man in the High Castle
Narcos
24
Breaking Bad
Blacklist

So anything in that sort of Vein that anyone would recommend. I got bored of Homeland and gave up, I also got bored of house of cards after about 2 episodes.

Ripper Street is good if you haven't watched it.

I believe the boxset can be picked up relatively cheaply online (also on Amazon if you have Firestick I think).

Yeah I can recommend ripper street, as well as the first two series of penny dreadful, it ended at series three, and had definitely gone off the boil by then. Also the new series of westworld was brilliant, if you haven't seen it, and decide to watch it stay away from any internet speculation until you've watched it, then watch it again like I did, you'll see the entire show differently, as it happens I actually watched the original 73 film, then binge watched the new series a second time.

If you watched Breaking Bad then watch Better Call Saul, the prequel on Netflix. Slow burner but done well, now starting its third series.

There are also worse ways of spending an hour or so that watching Peter MacDougall's "Just a Boys Game". Remember when this was first shown in the 70s. Frankie Miller is superb.

Well I've finished the first series Kevin and I have to say I found it to be brilliant.

Like diese said it's slow but sublime. I think it is moving at exactly the right speed, the acting especially from the lead is superb.

Cheers for recommending it, I'm really looking forward to the next 3 series.

Seen them, I was very surprised when the BBC dropped it. I enjoyed that.

I saw the first half of series 1 and sort of lost interest - perhaps I should give it another go.
