In it for three episodes, then replaced by a gay black doctor.
Seriously, not even joking.

In no way am I accusing you of being racist or homophobic, in fact I firmly believe you’re neither of those things. Also, I’m pretty confident that someone at the BBC decided “it is time” (as they tend to put it) for a black or bent Dr Who. But I just don’t understand how people work up the energy to be bothered about it.

It doesn't bother me, in fact I find it amusing, hence the tongue in cheek post. It obviously does bother some though, to the point of being triggered with consequential anger, even fury. What's the point, nothing is going to change it.Sadact7 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 24, 2022 6:19 pmDo you honestly care though?Zambo wrote: ↑Mon Oct 24, 2022 6:15 pmJust a coincidence. We agree on that at least.
These things tend to be cyclical anyway. The next generation will likely cringe at their forebears’ embarrassing attempts at being “inclusive” and hopefully just get one with treating everybody equally without the need for virtue signalling studenty drivel.

Re: New Doctor Who a 'woman'.
I don't watch Doctor Who so can't comment on whether it's any good or not.
I notice in a lot of programming the issue isn't about diversity/lack thereof. It's more about the quality of production. If that's no good then the shows in question can never be enjoyable.
It's the lack of imagination by producers/writers that hurts viewing figures. Poor casting offers no help either.
