Morning mate.

I'm not gloating (genuinely).

I feel sad for Wenger. After such a long time, this is no way for him to leave the club. He deserves to leave with dignity. Instead, he will be sacked at the end of the season. The club cannot possibly let him see out his contract.

It's like watching a Shakespearean Tragedy

He should have gone a few years back. I fully expect him to be in place next season.

I don't, Sin.

He will be 'moved upstairs' in the Summer.

A club like Arsenal cannot sit by & watch this decline indefinitely. Latest rumour is that Conte is preferred replacement.

Why not ? They've sat on their arses watching since 2006. Conte ....  He's really going to leave Chelsea for a Arsenal. Nah, he'll be back in Italy next season, imo. Wenger has a season left, he'll see it out mainly because Ivan Gazidis and the rest of the board haven't got a clue what to do. I think any top manager will look at Gazidis and Kroenke and say, thanks but no thanks.

Empty stadiums will force the board to make a change.

Not good for TV

Next home game is Watford, which is again televised. I hope the stadium is empty again. Had a grim on my face last night, looking at all the unsold, flat pints behind the bars.
The board made their bed when they gave Wenger a new two year contact, now's the time to lie in it.

I think you’ve hit the nail on the heard there Sin. The board just don’t know what to do and can’t imagine life without Wenger. They might have to get their fingers out and do something with him not being there. They have had an easy life for years.....
