Can anyone explain to me the appeal that Elis and John have? I drop into their show purely out of morbid curiosity and really struggle to see what it is with them where they supposedly have a great listenership. Anyone an avid follower of the duo?

Just listened to a portion of the show where someone called Elia said that he felt peoples’ pain about doing their tax returns and if anyone could make tax funny, it was then amidst loads of nonsensical sniggering. I really don’t get it and the pure mundanity of the stuff they come up with just doesn’t press my buttons.

Will this two be like H&J in forty years?

I suppose the difference would be that Five Live plugged in a repeat because the golf was put off.
Whereas Talksport is utter dross all day every day.
