All it needs over there is to be on the wrong side of public opinion and you are back doing another series of Gavin and Stacey.

Hopefully not serious enough to send him back here.

Which is what the UK commenters are saying, keep him yanks.

Are the women who are claiming to have been raped let him have his evil way with them
to further their careers.
If yes it's consensual sex not rape.
If he forced himself on them it's rape and presumably he would then not assist them in their careers

Judy Finnegan’s now saying a well known British TV mogul exposed his genitals to her when she was on the lower rung of the ladder trying to make progress as a reputable TV presenter. Please no puns that she’s still there.

More or less what I was trying to infer.
A tricky line to draw, when you ask yourself if, for example, any of heffner's (alleged) sleeping partners would have slept with him if not to gain financially.
This bloke (whom I never heard of before a week ago) doesn't seem like a very pleasant individual, but it can't be many would be actresses who weren't aware of the casting couch system.
Question is, - why make a massive issue of it at this point in time, and why this particular individual.

I don’t think proclaiming that Weinstein as a close friend at this time was a particularly wise move if he valued his career. I don’t think even Gervais would sail close to the wind by making these kinds of jokes on prime time TV and here’s hoping he gets the tail end of a backlash from the American public and Hollywood and this bites him on his fat fucking behind.

I remember Lysette Anthony vaguely from the TV in the 1980s. What she in something like Brush Strokes?

There's the rub, Shabba, and does echo what Roy says. She accepted $100k and a non-disclosure agreement from Weinstein for an incident in 1997: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/05/us/h ... &smtyp=cur and an interesting article here: http://www.slate.com/blogs/xx_factor/20 ... sment.html

Coin always makes things murkier. Her twatting is bordering on excessive she needs to chill and not feed the popcorn munchers.

She used to go out with Marilyn Manson at the peak of her career when she was in the series Charmed. Her career has been on the wane for the past decade.

Indeed. I had forgotten this:

Which means nothing bar a nice picture of her body and the other cunt.

But many things interesting all round. it was Ronan Farrow, who broke the story in The New Yorker after a ten month investigation: https://www.newyorker.com/news/news-des ... ir-stories though the NY Times had done their breaker earlier: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/05/us/h ... &smtyp=cur The NYT did have Weinstein's statement,
"In a statement to The Times on Thursday afternoon, Mr. Weinstein said: “I appreciate the way I’ve behaved with colleagues in the past has caused a lot of pain, and I sincerely apologize for it. Though I’m trying to do better, I know I have a long way to go.”

He added that he was working with therapists and planning to take a leave of absence to “deal with this issue head on.”
And the NYT artice referred to sexual assaults whereas The New Yorker included rapes.

Not going any conspiracy, just background. Ronan Farrow is Mia's son by Woody Allen and brother of adpoted sister Dylan who made allegations against Allen, which were not proven, but his actions were criticised by the presiding judge in the custody case. And of course at a similar time, Allen was found to be having an affair with his adpoted daughter, Soon-Yi Previn, whom he is still married to.

And Allen has had his say about Weinstein, ''sad for everybody involved', papaphrases the Mail: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... g-sad.html

But the question is, is this Hollywood's Savile? And like Uncle Jimmeh, will a few be sent down whilst others condemn and "never knew", as some male celebs seem to say, Damon and Crowe's alleged calls: http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-n ... n-11318827 And lest we forget good old Ben Affleck: http://edition.cnn.com/2017/10/11/enter ... index.html

But the casting couch has been known about for a century or more, all know and keep schtum. As Roy Twing says, if an actress or actor wants to suck cock to further their career, and they are of legal age, that is their choice. Abusing those who say no is not good.

But back to Savile and the more seedier side, will Hollywood paedos be named and shamed? Surely there must be some, statistically, like gay footballers. but not just stats needed. Continued Hollywood support of Polanski. The two Corey's, Haim, RIP and Feldman acknowledge it: https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/ ... 25287.html and https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/ ... 36524.html

Elijah Wood in 2016: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/05 ... -jimmy-sa/

I've got 'Anger's 'Hollywood Babylon' and though sometimes fantastical, the underlying truth is there. So, a few may or may not get get sent down, there may be a few err suicides and on Tinsel Town will go on. One hopes not, one hopes the GBP and wider public in America fucks them, most films are shite remakes now, hardly any creativity, too much money for old rope. And socalled non-scandal superstars like Cruise and Smith, will carry on coining, for the lawyers are watching, and Smith trying to start a dynasty with his horrific brats says all you need to know about La La Land.
