A dream draw for the boys used to slumming it with yam street scum and peasantry and then whisked to the billionaire playground of Wigan. Mega yachts moored the Wigan pier, shopping at Tiffanys, Prada and Fortnum and Mason in the Galleries shopping centre.

Heady days indeed.

As I said elsewhere, my old club Burgess Hill Town failed at the last hurdle for the 2nd year running to get into the 1st Round for the 1st time in their history.

They lost in the 4th Qualifying round 0-1 to Dartford.

BHTFC usually get anything between 250-400 for Ryman Premier matches but got a crowd of just short of 900 for this game.

Non league Shaw Lane who have grown tremendously since 8 years ago when they were a Sunday side and did get through the 4th Qualifying round, have drawn Mansfield Town.
