Please make it stop.

"Calendar Year" statistics are the most worthless of football statistics in an era when worthless football statistics proliferate.

Football is not played over a "calendar year" so why make a big blooming deal over things that happen over two different seasons?

Agreed, Pet. Total waste of time.
But then again, Sky Sports News would have little to talk about without stuff like this…

Well he hasn't. It's not a record that's recorded anywhere but in the Sky Sports News "we ain't got fuck all to talk about today, let's invent some meaningless stats" book. Which is one fucking huge book, by the way.

Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lewandowski, Neymar, Gonzalo Higuain, all won something .... Fuck me, even Alex Iwobi, won more than Kane in the last calendar year. It means fuck all, unless of course, you work in the English media.
