Kokkinakis upsets Fed in Miami. A massive sports story for Australia -- can't think of anything else that will move it off the front pages. :)

So last weekend Kyle Edmund won his first ATP title.

Today he beats Novak Djokovic at the masters tournament in Madrid.

Now enters the world's top 20 for the first time in his career.

I'm sure Del will be along shortly with some sarcastic quip or other...

Doing great the young lad but the ATP title win for a doubles final is a bit misleading in the context you are describing.
Young Cameron's first ATP title as well.

Stories coming out today say Murray not fit for Queens or Wimbledon so Edmunds will be our top hope.
Onwards and upwards :)

I suspect Murray may be froced to retire, but I hope I am wrong. Over a year away from the circuit at his age is not good.

Edmund and Norrie both in the draw for Roland Garros. Edmund now has the game to trouble any of the top players and Cam has the attitude and swagger to do well on the big stage. If Jay Clarke develops his game and Dan Evans makes it back from the wilderness we could have a rare depth in the British men's game.

Barely over an hour for Kyle to brush aside top 10 player David Goffin this morning. 8)

Brilliant match in Nottingham today - Dan Evans wins in two tight sets, real niggle between the two players, massive support from the home crowd and some high quality tennis. SF to come tomorrow.

Evans has won 15 out of 18 matches since his return and is now back in the top 400 after starting with a ranking over 1000. Assuming Murray isn't back until the hard court season, Evans will take the number 3 slot for GB within the next month or two.

If Murray doesn't show his dour sullen face at Wimbledon this year, he should return his knighthood. Oh and cancel Wimbledon altogether.

By that logic, if Geoff Hurst doesn't front up for England in the world cup then he should do the same.

Jesus, in a fight to the bottom of the gene pool you and Lead-o are hard to separate.

Evans was hitting the white lines hard. I’m pleased for him. He didn’t come from a privileged background like other Brit tennis players but had natural ability

He got a knighthood for his part in the world cup win. Murray got his for winning Wimbledon twice, two Olympic gold medals and the Davis Cup. It wasn't conditional on him winning other stuff afterwards you brain dead chimp.

Bottom of the gene pool, brain dead chimp, idiot. Let's have opinions without the insults thanks.

Sports stars usually get gongs for the service to their sport and involvement in charities, and not just because they won a tournament or made a significant contribution to a match or matches.
