He needs to ignore the rumours about himself and concentrate on his tennis.

Cam Norrie in the semi finals of the ATP tournament in Atlanta. Could sneak into the top 50 if he wins. Ryan Harrison on current form has got to be a beatable opponent to at least make his first final.

Murray - Edmund tomorrow. Kyle won easily enough on grass last month. Murray limped through a 3 setter yesterday to only just make the 2nd round. You can back Kyle at close to evens. The odds are nuts, but not as nuts as when they met on grass.

Wharaboo Jo Konta tonking Serena 6-1 6-0 ?. Like England beating France in a meaningless friendly at Southampton's ground .
A boost before the US Open.

Good win by Andy Murray beating current British no 1 and 4th seed Kyle Edmonds in 3 sets in Washington.
Murray too a hard fought first set tie break but I feared for him as he was steamrollered 6-1 in the second set to tie the match.
He kept it together the the deciding set to win it 6-4 and progress to the quarter finals.

That will give him a lot of confidence for the future.

Kyle choked when serving for the first set, which given the confident display against Murray last month was a bit disappointing. Been out with tonsillitis since Wimbledon, but still would've expected him to win yesterday.

Andy played very well and looked more mobile than on Tuesday. Was a decent match.

Don't think it will spoil Serena's legacy although she will be pissed off about it and a bit embarrassed.

But Jo still had to hit the balls, as they say and she did so.

Like last year, when she was on a good run, she can play faultless tennis but she is a bit stiff and the slightest tension can mean she misses even marginally, as opposed to hitting the types of winners and forcing shots she is capable of striking.

Not sure how 'off'' Serena was but she too has to be up at a certain level of movement otherwise, she just gets sluggish and her efficiency falls off significantly.

I'm sure he handled his victory in a calm, stoic manner.

Shocker-top tennis player wears his heart on his sleeve after recovery from career threatening injury.
Some wankers trying to take the piss out of him.

He needs to ignore the rumours about himself and concentrate on his tennis.

Konta beats grand slam champion Ostapenko. Pretty straight forward after losing a tight first set. Some marginal signs of a return to form, still a long way to go. Very few points to defend for the rest of the season so expect her ranking to rise again.

Jay Clarke quietly rising up the rankings for the men - only just turned 20 and up into top 200. Coached by the guy who took Konta from nowhere to a top 10 player.
