I doubt it's much to do with rates.
BB is just joining a long list of such businesses- Threshers, Victoria Wine, Peter Dominic , and even Augustus Barnett, who in a way developed our taste for wine and then were destroyed by the supermarkets taking away the increasing demand. Only Majestic Wines seems to be able to carry on, with their warehouse-type concept.

On a tangent, Paolo, last night I listened to a Last Podcast on the Left four parter about the Vancouver serial killer Robert Pickton, and Vancouver and particularly the Vancouver PD and judiciary did not come out of it very well at all.

The presenters only a few weeks before recording did a live show on the same street where Pickton got his victims and they said that that red light area of Vancouver, East Hastings and east Downtown was the worst area any of them had ever seen in North America.

This coming from three presenters, two of whom now live in New York City and the third a born and bred native of Queens in the 80s.

Is Vancouver really that bad? They made sound like Chicago on Sea.
