The Queen

Post by Royal24s »

I see she's been entertaining her commonwealth chums and promising an exciting future when her young 70 year old kid takes the helm.
Just thought, leaving all the old arguments on the subject, do we really need a monarchy any more ? Isn't it just a bit silly to try to maintain all this pomp and ceremony in a country which has become a third rate shithole with no military, economy ,money or influence in the world ?
Do we even need a government of the scale we've got any more ? That was all designed for a much bigger enterprise in the past so shouldn't we scale it down accordingly now ?
If we can't afford a police force ,ambulance service or public toilets how can we afford all this.
We could also save the expense of elections since they no longer count for much if the BBC don't like the outcome.

Isn't it time to simply appoint a Receiver to supervise the winding up process , keep off the streets and let nature take its course ?

And also, no, the monarchy is the biggest tourism revenue generator we have.

They pay their supposed cost (which is almost nothing to the state, as they pay their own way, it is a myth they dont, their businesses and land owned by generations of their family is a huge cash cow for them, theyd be billionaires even if they werent royalty) to the state back in the BILLIONS. Also, we're quite despised, and rightly so, across the globe, yet everyone loves the royal family. Probably wise not to get rid of the one thing people like about us.

Love her to bits. What's the other option? President Corbyn? Fuckin' nora.

I used to think the Royals were okayish but as time goes along, don't like the thought of being their "subjects" whilst they hobnob it up in their fancy houses and mansions and such. Maybe they should just be relegated to tourist attractions or such?

In reality it makes little difference. Apart from your perceptions of the Royals they have done very little to harm any of us.

Politicians on the other hand.

That's fair. Half the time, I just seem to ignore them, you know? Whereas it's hard to ignore politicians.

They seem like nice folk.

Aside from Andrew. He seems by all accounts, a nonce.

They’re all useless, sponging cunts with no purpose in life and with too much time on their hands. With the exception of Phil, the Queen, Harry and William. I have respect for them.

Not necessarily.

The correlation between people who have not had a normal childhood and all that behind the bike shed stuff cannot be ignored.

Ten years olds showing each other their willies behind said bike shed is the normal sexual starting point and then you move on. If you miss out the starting point in your life, it does not change the starting point.

Much deeper than that......all truth will come to pass in time.

If the whole truth came out all at once the world would be rocked to it's core.

I guess we'll have to wait until Elton John has been dead for 99 years then.
