Rip Off Car Dealers

Bastards they are.

Two years ago, took out a two year service plan on Mrs Zs car, just short of £300. She changed her car last week, and the robbing fuckers wanted £568 for the same make model. Pay as you go for first service was £220, which essentially is an oil change and filter. Could get a much cheaper deal elsewhere, but mindful of protecting warranty.

Also tried to get me to take gap insurance. The premium was only about £40 quid cheaper than the actual car yearly insurance premium. Even though have a new car deal on first 12000 miles with insurance company they still said it was essential. Some people must fall for this crap, otherwise they wouldn't flog it.

Manufacturers need to clamp down on these car dealers.

Motor vehicles will be banned shortly so this will be a moot point and this thread will require archival

I know nothing about cars, but mates of mine who do tell me all the time cars (used and new) are so over-priced it's a fucking joke. I don't have a car anymore and probably never will unless I win a lot of money. You may as throw money into a bonfire.

The whole "we are going to abolish all horrid icky internal combustion engines by 20 whatever" by our fucktarded masters is just another pie in the fucking sky, swimming with dolphins and rainbows scheme, by our touchy-feely kiddy-squealy, pederastocracy of a government.

They have yet to tell us, never mind set in place, where all the extra electricity for all these new lovely lemony pine smelling electric cars is going to come from.

Unless, God forbid, its all part of a plan to make the lovely soft and gentle elecky-wecky cars be so expensive that only the rich can afford them and the poor benighted smelly plebs will not be able to travel easily from their slums and hovels and leave our nice lords and masters unmolested in their vast properties.

Or maybe thats a little cynical?

You're best buying something like a Kia. At least you get a 7 year warranty.

Some genius from Apple will find a way of harnessing the magnetic forces of the planet for limitless free energy.
That will upset the Arabs and their money -grubbing friends. Then we could leave the Middle-East to their oil and let them all
kill each other in their ignorance. But our lizard overlords won't allow it to happen.
How about an ion-driven engine or Thorium power-plants instead of Uranium ?
We can trundle along at 4 m.p.h. with cars that have their bodies covered in solar cells. Good luck with that in the winter .

The manufacturer is advertising a much better deal than the dealer. Aren't the dealers obligated to honour that?
