ALDI is an interesting place to pop into now and again, fot the bizarre things they have on offer. Tents one week, telescopes the next ... :-)

Asda has no quality when it comes to their stores, the food, hygiene and the creatures that shop there. Asda sticks out as really substandard. Tesco is much better than Asda but way behind Morrisons, Aldi and Lidl.

Yes I like Aldi. The quality is quite okay and the staff are perfectly polite unlike Asda and Tesco, although to be fair they seem to be mostly East European so they're not so dumbed down and ignorant as younger English people.

The merger will enable them both to offer lower prices.
No stores will close.
No jobs will be lost.
I missed the overflying porcine.

He said no jobs in stores would be lost. That leaves head office functions and distribution centres.
