Local election results 2018: Parties fail to make decisive gains

Post by Eaststand »

Thread title translation: Everyone hates us all equally.
Jeremy Corbyn has said Labour achieved "solid" English local election results despite his party failing to make the sort of gains it had hoped for.
No, Jeremy, what this means is despite having a punching bag opponent like May, people think you are such a cunt, they refuse to vote for you.

The political system is fucked. I genuinely dont think we can continue like this for much longer. When someone is so incompetent they cant knock one of the most hated governments of all time off their perch is the opposition, we have problems. Serious problems.

Maybe the people don't see a Vladimir Lenin-wannabee as Prime Minister material.

It was a good night for the Lib Dem’s. All the people that voted UKIP before have switched back to Tory or not voted .

Its true though mate. If Corbyns supposed "movement" had any momentum whatsoever, this would have been a crushing defeat for the tories.

As said in another thread, I went with Independent as both the Tories and Labour had their issues (Posh gits = Tories ) (Anti Semitism / Comrade Corbyn = Labour) and UKIP was a one time vote for a one time choice. As long as I voted and put my vote in, I can still continue to complain for a long time.

May in a different world would be sitting in a squalid house as a spinster living out her days with her 15 unneutered and non-vaccinated cats.

How May has remained in power is beyond me. She seems utterly unable to do her job and is a renowned Remainer in charge of Brexit who is just incapable of delivering what we voted for.

There isn’t an obvious alternative. Same reason Corbyn wasn’t replaced before the 2017 general election when Labour looked like they were going to get wiped off the electoral map.

Also implementing Brexit is a thankless task if you’re PM.

It’s too gradual a process for a PM to get credit even if Brexit is a success & if it goes badly buggering up Brexit will be all they’re remembered for. So I’m not surprised Boris, Mogg etc are not trying to lever her out the door just yet.

I'd still fuck her tho. #ballsdeep
