As much as I'd like to go to a Eurovision final, I'd have to give it a miss. Plus Mrs S would be less than pleased.

Surely by now, since all the EU Nations seemingly hate us and such, I don't see why we bother anymore. Have we had any success in this contest? I admittedly never watch it, just the bit of news about a protestor running on during our bit.

I think part of the reason we do badly is that people expect the land of The Beatles to produce good songs, and so an average one is a disappointment. When Israel or Cyprus, however, produce an average song people are stunned by its unexpected brilliance.
