About as much as the current England squad.. Only difference is Ozil actually has a World Cup winners medal.

Anything else I can help you with ?

So has Torres. Passengers can pick up medals too. Michael Owen had a Premier medal with Man.Utd for keeping the bench warm.

Indeed, doubt too many Liverpool or Atletico Madrid fans would call Torres a passengers. I sure Chelsea fans remember Torres scoring the decisive goal against Barcelona in the CL semi final.
If you've seen, which i doubt you have, Mesut Ozil's performances for Germany in qualifying and in the 2014 WC tournament, would you still call him a passenger ? I actually think you would, as you clearly don't know what you're talking about. A passenger would not have won 92 International caps for his country. Unless, of course you've a better judge of German players than Joachim Low. Just out of interest who do you think Joachim Low should have played in Ozil's (the passenger) position over the last nine years ?

.. :)

PS... Mesut Ozil is also a record five time German Player of the Year award winner. Not too bad for a passenger.

How much of this is actually relevant to the argument considering that Germany is actually a different side from
Arsenal?

Ozil played in a midfield where Khadeira, Muller and Kroos did the donkey work and he was able to do whatever he did. He was a luxury that paid off but he simply doesn’t have either the inclination or ability to actually get his arse into gear for you lot.

Mesut Ozil is an Arsenal player.... This, whether you like it or not is an Arsenal thread on an internet message board.

But you’re the one talking about his performances with his national team; you have however not mentioned his performances with the club which is this thread is about.

Are you happy with his input as an Arsenal player andvwhy do you think he hasn’t replicated his national team pre-WC2018 with his club?

Scroll back,Alcohol Brazil, started talking about an Arsenal players international performances, not me. This is an Arsenal thread, if you really have a problem with posters discussing Arsenal players in this thread, perhaps you shouldn't click on it...

I'm not bothered about what another poster said or did not say. I asked you two questions about Ozil in my previous post which you have not answered and instead are trying to swerve around them and taking me to task by telling me I shouldn't click on here. Great debating, Rupe.

Would you mind answering my questions or are you going to continue along the lines of obfuscation, telling me to read previous posts and just being a pain in the behind?

So once again, please answer my questions. Here's hoping.

After all the Wenger years and his way of playing for 22 seasons it will be interesting to see what way Emery goes.
Will he rip it up and start again
or
Will he continue with Wenger's attacking principles adding a stronger defence and more steel in the midfield
or
Will he be Wenger mark 2 and go same old.
Fascinating !!

No, mate.... you came here with one goal. To stir up shit. However you want to spin it, that's the truth.

So, you're not bothered about what another poster said or did not say You're only bothered about what i say, right ?

Lets deal with this first. Why in your opinion shouldn't posters discuss an Arsenal players performances for club or country in an Arsenal thread ?

If you not going to answer my question, as it was the first issue, then don't bother replying.

Couldn't agree more, Del, it will be interesting, I'm really looking forward to it. I very much doubt Emery will be Wenger mark 2, as in the same way David Moyes wasn't Sir Alex Ferguson mark 2.

I'm not stirring up any shit and I'm disappointed in you saying I am.

I'm not sure why you're getting all defensive about me questioning an Arsenal play in an Arsenal thread and I think we're answering the same question. This is an ARSENAL thread. The clue is in the thread title and in various posts in the thread. You alluded to him in a Germany shirt which is entirely different. Do you think his World Cup medal is relevant? I would say that it's more relevant to talk about Arsenal's FA Cup wins if you want to present a more credible stance on this.

If you are so touchy about referring to his Germany performances, then start a Germany World Cup 2018 Disaster thread. Alternatively, post in the "Mesut Ozil" thread I have opened earlier this week or alternatively, stop whining and use this thread for the purposes for which it was intended.

I really can't make it any simpler. If you're too lazy, argumentative or touchy to do this then sorry, that's not my problem.

I don't think he'll be able to rip it up. What about players who are still on big contracts? He can't just pay them off and move them on can he? I think he's going to be an interim manager as it's going to take time to rebuild the club after the practices and culture that Wenger has embedded just as when Ferguson left. The difference was that Man U were still a reasonably a team of winners when he left. Arsenal were definitely in decline.

Lawnsy, i'm not at all defensive. It's just that i don't understand what your problem is.... You;re now telling me to start new threads or post in other threads about Arsenal players, instead of this one...

The discussion ( not started by me) was about an Arsenal player and his performance in the world cup. I'm disappointed that you a long standing member of this form feels the need to disrupt a valid conversation, which was being posted in the correct thread.

Del was just started talking about Arsene Wenger in this thread. As Wenger is no longer Arsenal manager, would you like us to start a specialist Wenger thread, or if it ok with you can Del and I discuss Wenger here ?
