What, is he on now? Is the show some sort of Durham/Sports Bar mutant?

Think it's time keepers re-thought their positioning for free kicks outside the box. The dipping and bending ball too high for defenders to head away, will usually end up in the net if they are near the far post when the kick is taken. Would be interested to see what happens if they took up a more central position.

De Gea who had a shocker for the 2nd goal had absolutely no chance with the late equaliser.
Ronaldo put it in the top corner behind the wall.Fantastic free kick.
Great game Spain were playing out time when Pique gave away a stupid foul and set it up for Ronaldo. He rarely disappoints.

The Spanish wall helped Ronaldo. If they all ducked their heads at the point of him kicking it, De Gea may have stood a chance.

Free kicks near goal.

When there is a wall, the keeper often cannot actually see the kicker and the ball until it passes the wall.
What would happen if the wall left a single player gap directly in line with the kicker and the keeper.
Then he would see the direction the ball was heading right away. Wouldn’t it give him a slight time advantage ever what happens now. If the attackers decided to put one of their players in the gap, the defenders could wait until the last minute and one of them move.

There must be a flaw in this. What is it?

The attacking team could put players in their own wall to block the keeper.

Cracking second half as well, watched overnight. Nacho's goal was a technical masterpiece.

That was #2 in my 'Plans to Revolutionise Football'.
The attackers form a complete wall a yard or so in front of the defenders, totally blocking the view of the shooter.
