What did you expect? Pretty much everyone here could foresee what was going to happen and if England won 3-0 would you have said "great football lads, I'm convinced we'll progress"? No, you would have said something along the lines of "big fucking deal you only decide to play when the opposition can't be bothered."

Crap 1-0 defeat with little ambition- at least they can get expert opinion from Allardyce on this game.

True, but they were a man down after about 5 minutes against Japan so I wouldn't read too much into that. They absolutely smoked Poland.
But James limping off is a big loss for them - be amazed if he plays on Tuesday.
I still think England will be slight favourites, and if we win, then I would definitely back us to beat either Sweden or Switzerland, then who knows?

Belgium will stroll through their game against Japan, but then it's highly likely to be Brazil in the QFs, and while Brazil haven't been amazing so far, they've looked pretty tasty.
