I've just watched highlights of the Costa Rica game. The CR guy tripped hinself up on the Swiss defender's legs for the penalty, something worthy of Francis Lee himself

They are, of course, trying to take advantage of the directive that refs HAVE to stop play for head injuries. It doesn't waste time, but it does break up opposition attacks, and generally adds nuisance value.
