From what I remember, Akinfeev was okay for his first shootout save but was at least a yard off his line for the winning save.
Do they not do VAR for penalty shootouts?

I don't have a problem with any goalie coming off their line but, like a lot of the laws of the game, some refs would order a retake whilst others wouldn't.
I'd just scrap the rule and make it more interesting.
