About 18 folk entered, and some were quite generous e.g putting in more than required.

I choose Brazil as there was only one other name beside them rather than any love of the Cowdenbeath of the south, compared to 5 for Germany, 4 for France, 4 for Argentina, 3 for Spain etc .

So Vai Brasil, bring the bevie home!

Who are the Cowdenbeath of the south Kev?

Whats the wine to beer ratio like. Every time I have won a bottle of wine in a raffle or sweep - which is unfortunately more often than it should be - I give it away. I cannot abide the stuff. It would be heartbreaking to win a competition like yours and get 6 cans of Harp or some other shit lager and 12 bottles of wasted vinegar.

Exactly. The Mexican guy knew what he was doing, but Neymar's reaction was absolutely ridiculous...

Enjoyed the first half and Mexico looked decent with their surges forward. Did more of the same early in the second half but they ran out of steam and just looked a little disinterested. Only one winner once Brazil took the lead. Game just drifted and was pretty disappointing all in all. Brazil didn't really have to get out of second gear. At least it didn't go to Extra Time. Couldn't have handled that. Really hope that Brazil get some opposition between now and the final which I'm pretty convinced they'll get to and win. To be honest, that really would be a pisser.

The bevie has been locked away til the Monday after the final, but it looked decent stuff. No Liebraumikeparryrocket wine, I'll post a pic if I win.

Someone put England (as a joke) and donated a £3.99 Tesco wine, which may well end up not being so funny after all, the way the tournament is shaping up and if they win tomorrow.

I love how Tim Vickery calls the Mexican coach a Stan Laurel lookalike. :)
