Such a shocker for the Nips. So naive to have so many up front in the last minute of injury time. The plus is at least Belgium will give Brazil a decent game.

Even at 2-0 up they were still going for it Jonners.......naive, probably, but you have to admire their spirit.

Who will be the first commentator/pundit to come up with 'harakiri' by the Japanese.
The obvious has to be expected; Lineker came up with the Russians builiding an iron curtain

Brilliant game.
Yep, that Brazil QF will be a cracker.
Let's hope that Kompany or Fellaini give Neymar something to really cry about

Klinsmann did say that the Japanese players really sacrificed themselves for the cause.
Sometimes I think these things are said deliberately for effect.

If anyone deserved to be in tears at the end of their game it was the Japanese, but they behaved with admirable restraint and demonstrated the manly virtues I had assumed were gone forever.

I saw him play, you know.
I don't know why I said "deserved", by the way. What I meant was "if anyone could be excused for being in tears ...", of course.
