Trying to find two eggs the same size to boil now requires measuring devices so you can find two roughly the same size.
Boxes of eggs came in either medium, large or extra large and this should be reinstated immediately. Or, we could look at the box beforehand and buy the correct ones. But that is not the point.
I get your point, but you can still buy eggs by size just as before.
They simply offer the mixed sizes as another option.
