I hope we see La Liga and Serie A back on Sky and BT respectively.

An entire season's rights to La Liga cost less than two Premier League games.

Good.

its not that good though is it, in reality, it just means sky and BT get to charge what they want.

While it may seem annoying to have to pay for another subscription, but disruption to a monopoly is always good.

It costs over 100 quid for someone to have the full SKY package in their homes. And then theyve got to sort out BT. It costs someone running a pub a minimum of a grand, to most it costs around 2k a month and 296 for BT.

Its a shit ton of money mate, and while I thought 11 sports coverage and their app was fucking shit in the main, no hd streaming was a big mistake, it was cheap, and they were trying to be value focussed for the customer, and I respect that.

I agree, though I think the streaming only platform was always going to struggle to get enough traction, their target audience in the main would still ordinarily prefer uncomplicated direct to TV coverage. The fact they were also up against the archaic broadcasting regulations in this country and had to blackout the first 15 mins of the 5pm Saturday Serie A games clearly didn't help their cause either............nor sadly do the many illegal streams available for people to be able to watch without paying which I of course haven't used but my mate has, shafting Sky for their extortionate pricing structures is fair game IMO but I do feel sorry for the new entrants like Eleven who haven't got the installed base or financial muscle to resist it.
