All good thanks, Carlos

Expecting a couple of additions to the family (equine not human) around Feb/March. They're certainly not bred to be superstars but will hopefully recoup investment and a bit more when they eventually reach the sales.

Trust all is well in Partridgeland?

Excellent news sammy and about the additions. Though seldom punt, love reading your news and views and gossip, so keep it going.

All fine and dandy here in Partridgeland with a nice lovely crisp blue winter sky. :)

Was supposed to go last last year with a couple of friends up to Fakenham, but soon this time before it ends. Never been, Mike. Get the Barbour and wellies out. :)
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

Terrific renewal of the Clarence House at Ascot on Sat.

Energumene served it up from the front as usual with a slick round in only his second appearance in Open company, Shiskin conceding marginal ground jumping slightly left around the right handed Ascot course along with an error at the sixth leaving him a couple of lengths to find at the final fence. Shiskhkin had to dig really deep and it took until the final 100yds for him to finally get his head in front of a gallant Energumene.

What a race, what a finish.

Both horses came out of this with their reputations enhanced although the effort needed could leave it's mark further down the line, imo. Hopefully both stay fit & well for round two in the Queen Mother at the Festival.

Apart from one or two regulars there doesn't seem to be that much appetite for horse racing. Usually end up talking to myself so now just post when i have a bit of spare time.

Great race Sammy. Read that Shiskhkin went out to 8/1 in running.

Did think he was beat to be honest, but like you say, what a finish.

The protesters have a valid point. Horses died again at the 3 day event in the name of sport and entertainment.

Fences need to be lowered and made safer. Also number of riders.

Did you ever see Bechers before it was modified? I walked round part of the course and it scared me and I wasn't a jockey.

People have the brains to weigh up the risks and make their own decisions, animals don't. Falls have always been part of 'the fun' at Aintree, and fuck the horses.
