New Labour Party

I read number of high profile labour supporters and mps such as Rachel Riley and Joanne Rowling are looking to form a new party. They feel the party is too left wing and too anti semetic. This will do more harm to labour in the long run .they shouldn’t pander to a small Jewish minority , Muslims makeup more of their supporters

Seven jumped ship. Good. Means that the BBC, Sky, Channel 4 etc will have to look elsewhere when they want a « Labour  » voice on a discussion panel. Ummuna hawking his moral conscience around tv studios

Rachel Riley? Who cares what she thinks, she's not an elected representative is she? I actually have a lot of respect for Gary Lineker says, he has far more credibility and talks sense. Also with the BBC, he has far more reach than a scatty bint who's better known for her baps on a minority show on C4. Sorry Rupe.

If they want to go, why stop them. But they didn't get elected becasue of their individual beliefs and ideals or their scintillating personalities, but because they were in the Labour party. They should in all conscience, and this applies to anyone in any party who does this, resign their seats and put themselves up for election. But that might mean they'd lose their salary and expenses, so they won't.

This has got to be a good thing all round hasn't it ?

Jewish people who fear the consequences of Labour coming to power can feel safer.
Those who wanted to over rule the democratic outcome on Brexit all marginalised into one impotent grouping.
People like Yvette Bollocks and Margaret Hodge who ran out on the coup at the last minute and left the others on their own will have to watch out for Commissar McDonald's purge so they'll be cowed .
A major stage in the inevitable destruction of Labour and socialism.

What are they going to call it though ?

New New Labour,

Newer Labour,

New IMPOVED Labour ( Now with Ummunium)

Labour Light , ( All the nasty tastes of Labour with half the anti- semitism)

Two Points:

1. As the seven MP's wh resigned today are strong advocates of a 'People's Vote', I can only assume that they will be true to their beliefs and give the people living in their constituencies a vote by stepping down and forcing by-elections?

2. Can no one appreciate the irony of these remainers now believing that if an organisation cannot be reformed from within, then you should leave?

Ooops!
"An MP who quit the Labour party this morning to create a new Independent Group has been hit by racism row.
Angela Smith was forced to deny she was racist after comments she made about skin colour on the BBC's Politics Live.
Appearing on the programme to talk about the new grouping of MPs in the House of Comons, the MP also took part in a discussion about racism in British society.
The former Labour MP appears to say: "It's not just about being black or a funny tinge..." before breaking off and commenting "from the BAME community".
