He doesn’t help himself sometimes but I’d put that down to the serious amount of arse kissers in his non track team feeding off his commercial interests. As previously stated, I’ve experienced a couple of F1 races this season and as an outsider to this sport feel he carries himself with humility and has a very strong relationship with race going punters. Put him in a losing car and it might be different but there’s a reason he’s in the best car and it’s not a fluke.

Anecdotally, I was in a bar with his pit crew after the Singapore GP and overheard their discussion. I’d say they are more egotistical than the man himself. The #metoo movement would have a field day with the utter fucking belms.

In summary, Lewis Hamilton should rightly be celebrated for his achievements based on the conditions set out.

Possibility that Hamilton may go to Ferrari to finish his career.
I'm sure he'll stay with Mercedes at least one more season, hopefully get his seventh title, then try to end his career with more titles at Ferrari, before retiring as the best F1 driver of all time
