Today saw the 1000th Formula One Gand Prix.

From Giuseppe Farina winning the British GP in an Alfa Romeo on the 13th May 1950 to Lewis Hamilton taking his Mercedes to victory in the Chinese GP today the 14th April 2019. Sixty-nine years of thrills, spills, excitement, drama, triumph, despair, controversy and tragedy. To all who have played their part in the success of F1' I duff my imaginary cap to y'all.

No it didn't - it was the 1000th Championship race but not the 1000th F1 race. I'll let you look it up and see why it wasn't the 1000th F1GP
