Assuming results go as planned today it's shaping up to be an Essex - Somerset duel for the title this summer. Certainly if Essex don't make it, I'd love to see Somerset finally get the top prize in domestic cricket.

I'm genuinely surprised all matches weren't moved to Monday, much as I think we need MORE weekend county cricket.

Watched some cricket at Trent Bridge last Saturday. Very dodgy pitch with spinners dominating and easily over in 3 days. Nice ground and a civilised day out.
