Tell them what Carlos, it was a record for the girls game in England just not the World record they were hoping for even though it was kids get in for a quid.

Antdad. It was a record for an England womens game in England, it was not the record for a women's game in England.

As per and was there, twas the Olympic final and 80,203 at Wemberley for USA v Japan in 2012.

Ahh. I see. Just curious, did you pay more than a tenner for entry though?

Definitely, it was the Olympic womens final game. £40 odd I reckon in 2012 and still got 80k there.

That attendance reminds me of the old England/Scotland schoolboy internationals that World of Sport used to show live in the 70s (after the trailers for Kung Fu films they always showed for some reason and before the wrestling with Kent Walton).

A jam packed old Wemberrley with 100k plus attendance of pre pubescent wee boys, almost all bussed in free on school trips from all over the place, watching greasy spotty youths fall over and hack each other's twiggy legs to oblivion.
The unnerving high pitched squeal from the crowd would upset dogs all over the country.

Like wimmens football, it was laughable, more than often embarrassing but ultimately all fluff and meaningless in the end.

But at least it had the advantage of not having the fucking BBC (and the other lickspittle media outlets) ramming it down our throats like they were the big nasty bastards in a torture porn vid.

EDIT:
Just did a random click on the BBC football website to see if I was being a little unfair. And just hours after a full Saturday fixture list and before the clash of the biggest two teams in the country - one of which will certainly be champions - and saw that a wimmens football whinge is the second headlining story.
Oh, and fuck up, Neville, you Easter Island headed sex pest spawn!

Fucking pathetic.

Also the fourth story. And the ninth.

Support a championship side? Tough shit, sucker. Not a mention.

Turned on 5Dead yesterday and was offered commentary on the England game.
No interest at all to me, in spite of (or maybe because of) the incessant brainwashing attempts by the BBC and Guardian - so reluctantly turned to Matterface for the Leicester commentary.
There were occasional updates on the England game - including mention of a goal being flagged for offside by the “linesperson”.
Made me loff anyway.
Can’t be arsed.

Phil Neville really annoys me for some reason. Glad he's proving not to be very good but probably means he'll be back doing shit punditry on the BBC, chosen primarily because his brother was good at it for a while and they believe, by assocation, that he'll offer something too.

P. Neville’s record is getting like his brothers in management. Dire.

Well at least there's little to no chance of Neville having an affair with a player...either through his own tremendous looks and personality or the majority of the team's sexual bias.

A friendly against England and the Czech Republic women's teams was the lead story on the Beeb and The Guardian again.

It's only a reflection of the world we now live in, I'm afraid.

It ain't for me or I suspect 95% of the country, but we will be force fed it regardless.

Yes, because the Yeovil game or maybe Spurs kids in the EFL cup was much more newsworthy.

You'd think they'd dropped coverage of a vital Champion's League encounter the way you old women keep mithering on here.
