Everyone wanted VAR until they got it

It was justice of a sort, though. The ref was trying to explain to the Scots goalie what not do do (as the ref is obliged to) but instead of listening she ran off to pick something up from beside the goal. Then one of the Scots players was giving the penalty-taker a few helpful words of advice, or possibly abuse, from a distance of about six inches; petulance of the highest order.

Even by Scotland's standards, that was poor.
Going to get a lot of retaken penalties in the next few years, methinks…

The controversial twice taken penalty in injury time from the Argies were embarrassing beyond belief. The first one had absolutely no power and the second one was again shite and the Scotch keeper couldn't be arsed to try and save even though it was an easier one to save than the first! What a fucking mess.

Almost every goal I've seen in this tournament has been due to shit defending.
The overall quality is abysmal, worse than Arsenal.
