If the BBC was a subscription service at around £3 a week, it would represent good value. But the idea that you should automatically tax people that amount is appalling. Especially when the BBC makes great play of it's impartiality, when it clearly isn't.

Seems that the blue rinse generations had generous pensions, decades of employment, constant rising house prices, loads of state benefits and now they’ve fucked over the younger generations by selfishly voted for a Brexit. This weird criticism of the elderly by the (presumably) younger generation is bizarre - do they think they (the youngsters) will never get old, or that they get replaced by 'invasion of the body snatcher-type' aliens?

There are a large number of 75+ housebound for various reasons, who's lives are mainly a bit of entertaiment on the box. It's a low and it's petty when the BBC could quite easily have covered this internally.
