Looks like the sort of guy who'd shoot at Tintin from the hills.

Which is a good thing.

Prince William went to see the Baggies train. That’s fucking heresy!

Oh yeah. Cardiff City must have the best attack in Europe then ,mustn't they ?

In fact they've only got the second or third best attack in Europe.

A crazy throwaway by Leeds. Great point for Cardiff but you looked pretty terrible for 60 minutes.

There will be more batshit results over the next five months, no doubt.

Need to be careful with Brentford, they’re creeping into the top
six and coming good. West Brom have them next Saturday. But with the other teams like Fulham and Preston habitually dropping points, should have thought both of you should have a 15 points lead or so after Christmas. Can see either of the top two throwing away such a big lead. Such a lack of competition this season.

Villa will be back there next season with the way things are panning out.

It's quite frustrating that they've got a fantastic squad capable of winning the championship outright but can't get it right somehow, ( hope Neil Harris can deal with that )
Two years ago they had a very dodgy squad yet got promoted .

Fourth defeat of the season for Leeds today against a decent Fulham side. Have to be careful they don’t have a mid season blip and fall outside the top two, think the pressure could start to tell. West Brom just need to keep it going and could see daylight between themselves and Leeds for the NY day clash.

Fulham were very lucky. Their penalty awarded was absolutely scandalous. Leeds were the better side. We'll bounce back.

I'm pretty happy going into Christmas second and nine points clear of third.

Agree, Zippy. 9pts still a nice wee cushion but hopefully a few more wins in to January and they have a bigger gap.

Any sightings of the great man himself yesterday, Buik at the Cottage?

:)

 Good old Buik, the Benjamin Button of LBC finance news. Started his broadcasting career a few decades ago before the deregulation of the stock markets when he was about 130 years old and he now just gone into a double digit age.

Didn't spot the great man in the ground or at any of the surrounding pubs sadly! Always a nice day out at The Cottage though.

Half term report.

50pts from 23 games, a goal scoring return of 2-1 in our favour. Three points clear at the top of the tree this Christmas and twelve clear in the promotion positions. With only one defeat all season and with a young team playing exciting football the fans are flocking back to The Hawthorns. All in all it's been an excellent first six months in charge for Slaven Bilic.

I was very pleased to see Slaven take over at Albion in the summer and expected an upturn in performances and results under him, but the return has exceeded even my expectations. Continue in this vein and we should be promoted by Easter.

Looking good for sure.

Going to watch the Villa at Craven Cottage in the FA Cup Third Round. Read loads of reviews about what an authentic experience in a vintage ground it is. Can’t wait.
